Goal Setting Part 3:
I mentioned that I started using Cultivate what Matters Power Sheets to plan for 2019. The reason I landed on trying this system out is because it fits right in line with what I had been already trying to figure out how to do on my own. Like mentioned before I would write things down and then…no action. I would write it down in a notebook and then have no idea what one it was or where you put it. Anyway, I thought this planner would help me to stay on track, focused and actually follow through. I did enlist the help of Pat, my husband. We took weeks to pray over and think through what really matters to us as a family. He helped me see that I really need to focus on progress and not completion. I am a firm believer in we are always growing and learning. I also believe that God is growing us in His timing. I may go through all this just to find that I need to switch gears in a few months or even weeks from now. One of the things that this system does is it has you review every few months to see if you need to change things up. This list is of big picture goals with a sneak peek on look at the how behind them.

Big Picture goals:
1. Grow in my relationship with God.
- I plan to Read through the bible in a year again.
- Memorizing scripture with my husband.
2. Love my family well.
- I want to get back to having systems and routines in place to help reduce stress throughout the day. (I am going to use Phylicia Masonheimer’s free course on productivity to help get back on track.)
- We are leaving margin in our schedule for time together as a couple and as a family.
3. Practice healthy habits.
- Find a way to exercise at home for free and create a space to exercise.
- We have committed to doing Trim Healthy Mama for the first 12 weeks of 2019.
4. Culitvate friendships.
- I really want to make real connections with people and build real friendships that go beyond the surface. Yeah, I like conversations that go deeper than how’s the weather.
- Invite friends into our home more often.
5. Financial mindfulness.
- We have been consumer debt free before but we have a small amount of debt we need to take care of and get back on track in the new year.
- We also own Financial Peace University and have yet to complete it. We plan to do that in the first quarter of 2019.
6. Grow my Young Living business in 2019.
- Help more women understand how to be the gatekeeper of their homes by switching to natural-plant based products.
- Help more women learn how to earn an income from anywhere.
7. Foster a life-giving home environment.
- Declutter our home 15 minutes a day.
- Practice responding more often with truth, grace, and love.
My word of the year is Flourish. My desire is to flourish in the rich ground that God has planted me in.
I’d love to hear one thing that you are planning to work on this year.
